Royal Betrayal

Devlin fears for her sisters, and Marlin dreams of a peaceful tribe turned to violence. Something has made its home in the deepest reach of the Mukul swamp, and walking in unprepared buys nothing but scorched earth.

Walkthrough

1. Hear Devlin out about what has become of the Grove.

2. Ask Marlin what his visions have shown him.

3. Take Marlin's requisition to the alchemist Matei.

4. Gather what Matei's recipe calls for and have Appie brew the draught.

   Hand over Reagent, 3× Hemloch Deum, Brandy, Wine, Luna RodYou receive Mysterious Draught

   Hemloch Deum drops from the Mukul in Mehadi Swamp. Brandy and Wine are sold at the Loures tavern.
5. Bring the draught back to Marlin.

   ⌖ Marlin, the Loures castle library

   Show Marlin the draught before you drink it. He has nothing to say to an aisling carrying neither the draught nor its effect, so if you drink it and the effect wears off first, go back to Appie for another.
6. Drink the draught at the strange markings deep in Mehadi, and end what waits on the scorched earth.

   Slay True Chaotic Servant

   Danger: do not step onto the pentagram before you have drunk the draught. You will very likely die.

7. Bring Marlin the codex you took from the ritual site.
