Marlin's Request

Level 26+ (Main Storyline)

This is the Legends version of the "aite quest". You need to complete this as you will not be able to complete other quests along the way without some of the legend marks gained during this quest.

Items Needed

  • Great Bat's Wing
  • Raw Honey
  • Beothaic Deum
  • 12 Grapes
  • 12 Cherries

Note: If you want to hunt Dark Belts, these items are needed every time you enter the maze.

Walkthrough

  1. Speak to Marlin in Loures Jail.
  2. Head to Blaise in the Library.
  3. Return to Marlin.
  4. Head to Devlin (White Magic Master in Mileth).
  5. Give her 12 Cherries & 12 Grapes. She will give you the Tome of the Gods.

Tip: Visit the Suomi Farm (88, 1 Suomi Village, cross the bridge), enter the house at (7, 30). You can pay 2500 gold to farm grapes & 2500 gold to farm cherries. This is cheaper than buying them in a restaurant.

  1. Show Blaise the Tome.
  2. Head to Pravat Cave and defeat the Draco Hatchling to receive the Holy Stone.
  3. Return to Marlin.
  4. Go to Blaise. He will require:
    • 1 Fae Liquor (Beothaic Deum)
    • Raw Honey
    • Great Bat's Wing
    Once you hand these over, he will transport you to the Heart of Darkness.
  5. Hunt Dark Belts from the Dunans here. On one map you'll see two columns with a space in the middle which is a doorway—enter there for the next step (once you're done belt hunting).
  6. Read the inscription on the Plinth.

Warning: Ritual of the Sun costs 150 HP. Ritual of the Moon costs 150 MP. If you shatter the Holy Stone, you will be removed from the dark maze and will need items again to re-enter.

  1. Once completed, head to Marlin to complete the quest.
  2. Return the Tome to Devlin for "Earned Devlin's Trust" exp.
  3. Receive a Deoch's Fire.
  4. Take the Deoch's Fire to Devlin at insight 26 for your imbued armour.
